Edwin Snowden is in a position to celebrate another 100 years in business.

Founded in 1898, Edwin Snowden is proud of its history and long standing place in the Hull community. With over 100 years of experience under its belt, Snowdens has long outlasted most companies and is positioned to celebrate another 100 years in business.

The company's slogan is "We don't take our 100 years experience for granted - but you can!" and this motto is reflected in their employees, some of whom have been with the company for over 40 years.

Edwin Snowden & Co Limited began by producing steam jacketed pans, tar stills, riveted vessels and providing boiler repairs. Over a century later, the company has built a solid reputation in the industry for boiler repairs and the fabrication of custom made storage tanks and pressure vessels.  More recently, heat exchangers, pressure vessels, bunded storage tanks and hyperbaric chambers have expanded the company's product range along with additional boilerhouse services and a Turnkey Project Management service.

In 1934, the business was one of the first to invest in electric welding which allowed the company to take on larger projects.  As the work became more specialised, the company began to engage more and more in highly-skilled apprenticed staff who helped to expand Edwin Snowden's range of products and services.  Even today, Employees with over 40 years services still remain working alongside young apprentices creating a multiskilled workforce.
